There are several reasons I still believe blogging is good for your business. While SEO has many facets to it blogging is still one of them. Keeping fresh content on your site is good for SEO but what about just keeping your followers engaged and abreast to what you are doing in your business? As you write and educate your followers you are establishing authority in your industry. You are showing your followers you are invested in your topic and know what you are talking about. You are creating value. I also call this lowering the barrier to entry and increasing the know like and trust factor. You are creating an approachable environment and warming your followers up to who you are and show you are invested in your topic.
Blogging is also content that you can share and your followers can pass along. It shows transparency and authenticity. This is a way to show you are not like the slimy sales person with the snake oil you are a professional invested in your industry and adding value trying to solve a problem and when clients get to know you like that you will increase sales… organically.
